Item description:
Midsommar – the Swedish spelling of midsummer – is much more than just a title. Like its sister piece Berlin, this work was created specifically for my first exhibition in the German capital. The occasion was an event hosted by a Swedish company, with a dress code of Black only. Inspired by this aesthetic, Midsommar fits seamlessly into the elegant and timeless theme.
With its restrained black-and-white palette and clear formal language, the piece unfolds a calm yet powerful presence. It marks a significant chapter in my artistic journey and reflects my signature style in a unique way.
Created using high-quality, lightfast paints, Midsommar has been sealed with a protective layer of varnish. A custom-made shadow gap frame is included in the price and completes the work as a harmonious whole.
